So, I picked up Mint about a month and a half ago. I was looking for a decent piece of software to track my website(s), and I just happened to stumble upon their website. Anyway, basically it’s amazing. It’s a fairly new piece of software, but it is growing by the day. With Mint, developed by Shaun Inman (awesome personal website), you are able to identify where most of your hits are coming from, where they are visiting the most, where they are exiting, etc.
It runs on modules (peppers), which you can pick and choose from and rearrange as you please, allowing for plenty of customization. For example, I am running mint at the moment using visits, location (country), referrers, popular pages, searches that led to my site, platform (pc or mac, screen size, etc.), comments, outbound links, etc. The nice thing is that each of these modules are easily moved around in order, and they also have easily interchangeable views (overview, past day, past month, past week, etc.).
All in all, it’s major points are that it’s easy to setup, highly customizable (skin can even been changed if you’re a color freak), efficient and well designed. I realize that there are a lot of free tracking devices at there, but at $30 bucks, this program is totally worth the buy. So, if you get a chance, go to Mint’s website and check it out.
