There are very few currently running television shows out there that I let myself get addicted to. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, C.S.I. (the one and only Las Vegas), House, Grey’s Anatomy (girl addiction), and Weeds.
Weeds is about an Upper Class California mom who, after her late husband dies, resorts to selling weed in order to keep herself and her children living the same lifestyle as they were before the death. Needless to say, many issues come up not only from the weed dealing, but also due to the death of the children’s father. Mary Louise Parker plays Nancy Botwin, the mother. And, I must say, she’s pretty much amazing. All of the characters have fairly extreme personalities (stereotypical of suburban life), so it makes for a rather funny show.
And who thought marijuana couldn’t be funny?
