Ever get tired of listening to that same ole crap on the radio where it’s incredibly obvious that the “musicians” don’t actually play instruments? If so, Rodrigo y Gabriella (straight out of Mexico City) will be a nice change of pace. These two play the guitar like it’s an extra limb. So well, in fact, that I honestly didn’t believe it was them at first. And you know, with technology today, it’s really easy to doubt the actual abilities of a musician, but these two perform live as well. And they do it so beautifully. Check out this song, “Diablo Rojo” which was supposedly written to imitate the feelings of being on a roller coaster:

Ah, the brilliance. Can you even imagine trying to strum and beat on a guitar like that? This is yet another reason why I love Latin America. Those kids have some serious soul.

Basically, what I’m trying to say is:
Buy this CD!

i believe in music the way some people believe in fairy tales…
